Based on plans for expansion, in 2015 the city of Redmond approved plans for Microsoft to expand vertically, raising the height limit for buildings on campus from 6 stories to 10. The main campus is about a 30 minute drive from Seattle.
On the main Microsoft campus there are 11 restaurants, 33 cafes, and 37 espresso stations. After work, Bellevue, Issaquah and Redmond all offer a vibrant nightlife and a myriad of opportunities for both upscale and casual dining. The area is culturally diverse so there’s never a shortage of local happenings including festivals, art fairs, and concerts. Farmer’s markets provided a wide selection of fruits and vegetable which allow residents to support local agricultural. “The Commons”, the center of social life on the Microsoft campus offers a salon and mini day spa, dry cleaners, mail center and bank. Need some exercise? No problem! Join in a basketball or cricket game on a company sports field, or join in a pickup soccer game. You can leave your personal car parked at home since Microsoft has a wi-fi enabled bus fleet of 55 to transport employees to their local campuses. Find fellow employees with similar hobbies and interests in one of the many well established social clubs on campus.
